ARTIST CALL GUIDELINES

Please submit:

Artist bio (500 words max)

Educational info (colleges, technical school, etc)

Galleries/shops your work is currently displayed at

Art shows you've participated in within the past twelve months

Honors or awards won in the last twelve months

Three sample photos of your work; if through email, please send as .jpg or .pdf files

Web site address, if any

A basic proposal of artwork for the book launch show; for example, 'watercolor paintings of fictional animals mentioned in the novel' or 'pencil sketches of characters' or 'dolls such as might be found in a medieval society.'
 

Please note: Since this show is intended to encourage serious beginners (defined as people who've been working at this for a while but haven't "broken in" just yet) as well as established professionals, a lack of art shows/achievements is not neccessarily a bar to being accepted. Creativity and dedication to your craft is more important than where you went to college or how many honors you've won. That being said, please do submit your absolute best work, whatever level you're at.
