Welcome to 2021

I begin this year with mixed emotions. On the plus side, I’m feeling stronger and steadier than I have for most of the past year. On the other… *gestures* yanno. Everything.

I’ve shut The Scribbling Lion web store down; it’s idle at the moment, but I may convert over to a book review/author promotion style site once I finish the commercial-closeout paperwork. We’ll see what my energy is like in Februrary….

I’ve been making progress on the long-shelved Bone Witch Project, and I’m quite pleased with how it’s going. I won’t say more for fear of jinxing it. This project has been incredibly fragile and temperamental, and I’m terrified of derailing it again. But I’m having fun.

Servants of the Sands, the final book in my Children of the Desert series, is being reissued as a two book set with added content, probably sometime in March. That’s still very loose, so don’t hold me to it; but I AM starting to compile a list of people to send ARCs to, so that’s also extremely exciting.

I’ve begun working with Toggl, a time tracking software that will hopefully help me from overcommitting and/or procrastinating; I’ve also started working with Shuffle again, which is a lovely community in which creatives support and encourage one another in their goals. I have an Instagram account now, although I have yet to do anything significant with it. I’m way behind on posting writing videos, which I don’t feel the least bit bad about, because I’ve been both ill and busy.

As I said above, though, I’m feeling considerably steadier, so watch out! I’m beginning to charge at my overdues and to-dos and want-to-do-somedays. I hope you’re able to do the same!
